You know when people say, "I don't need money," or that happiness comes from within? I talk about that in other articles. I know it starts from within, but let's be real — if you always feel broke, how do you feel safe? How do you feel safe at home when you don't know if you're going to make rent? How do you feel safe if you don't know if you're going to have enough food this week? Or buy the things that make you feel safe? Yes, happiness is a feeling, but it's a feeling that money can help you get to. Some people may disagree with me, and that's okay, but I challenge you to hear me out.

I have literally slept on the street before. How can you possibly expect me to find happiness and safety at home when I'm worried about the people around me? Wondering if I'm safe. Watching everyone around me in a happy, warm home. How can you find safety if your basic needs aren't met? We all need money, let's be real. It provides a source of safety and comfort. If we have our basic needs met, or feel like they're met, it's easier to be happy. In this article, I'm going to share actual ways you can make money remotely. These are real opportunities, not spam. They're things I would do myself if I needed extra cash. I only talk about things I would personally do, because I want to change your life. I know what it's like to not feel safe, and not having enough money makes you feel broken.

I know happiness starts within. If I look within, my bare minimum is having my basic needs met. Isn't that what Maslow's hierarchy of needs says? That we need our basic needs met to feel more relaxed? That's exactly what I'm here to talk about today. This is more than just 8 ways you can make money right now. This is an article to help you feel safe with money — and to know that if you need more, you can make it.

It starts with you. Before we get into how you can make more money, I want to stress that I'm talking about this to bring you a sense of safety. People say money can't buy happiness. That's true — but it can buy safety and security. Everyone on earth deserves to have their basic needs met, and everyone deserves to feel safe. You're probably asking why I'm talking about this so much. Well, I've been given, through hard work and a few lucky breaks, thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. I figured out a version of the "secret" — but it starts with believing it's possible for you too.

I used to stress all the time about money. If only I had enough money to do this... to do that... Until I realized something. To me, money is just a tool — a piece of paper (or a number on a screen) that we all agree to believe in. It's a shared social agreement built on trust. It's a tool we use to measure and trade our time, energy, and effort. That's just how I've come to see it — you don't have to see it the same way.

I've realized that it's our relationship to money that really makes the difference. When I started working on my relationship with money, I even started treating it like I would a relationship with a person. I asked myself what the issue was, what I actually needed. It sounds a little unconventional, I know. But it's really just working on your relationship with money — that's how you start to break the cycle of feeling broke.

1. Virtual Assistant. If you're great at administrative work, become a virtual assistant. Want to know a secret? You don't need to be perfect to start. I got my first client within one week without a website. Why? Because I wasn't afraid to mess up. I knew I wasn't perfect and I was okay with that. I went into Facebook groups and connected with three people a day. I didn't have a niche and I was completely lost. Turns out, it didn't matter. My first client paid me $45–50 an hour.

2. Sell Things Around Your House. That thing you haven't used in years? You know what I'm talking about. It's time to sell it. Want to know a secret? I completely redecorated my house by selling my old furniture. I knew my budget for a new couch, sold my old one for close to that price, and bought a new couch on sale. I did that with my whole house and turned it into something I loved. You don't need some crazy amount of extra money to change your space — you just need to know your own patterns and how to break them.

3. E-commerce Store. You can create an e-commerce store and use Printify to make your own products, or design a template in Canva. The first product I ever sold was a digital budgeting template I created for myself. It changed my life. And within 24 hours, it sold.

4. Trade Shows. I know this one is partly remote and partly in person, but it's worth mentioning. I made over $5,000 in one day. How? I hosted a trade show with vendors, charging them $250 a table. Within 24 hours, my spots were sold out.

5. Make Something And Sell It. I made a craft, myself, with my own two hands — and sold it. You don't need a factory or a warehouse full of inventory to start. You just need one thing you know how to make, and one person willing to buy it.

6. Teaching / Courses. I got over 10,000 course enrollments in 4 days. I know that sounds impossible — AI and everyone else will tell you it can't be done. I'm not sharing that number to brag. I'm sharing it as proof of the way I see the world: as patterns. Money is something that can be changed with a pattern, and one of the things I hope to show you throughout Finally Home Magazine is how to start seeing those patterns too.

7. Build And Sell Software With Lovable. You don't have to know how to code to build software anymore. Lovable makes it easy to build your own tool or app and sell it, even if you've never written a line of code in your life.

8. Whitelabel. Use a whitelabel service. This means someone else has already built the product, and you put your own name and branding on it and sell it as your own. You don't have to build everything from scratch to have something worth selling.

I'm not sharing these to brag about how fast it worked for me. I'm sharing them because AI usually suggests the same tired ideas — and I wanted to give you things that actually break the pattern, from someone who's actually done them.
